Tennis Girl Sews is a unique brand that combines a passion for tennis, pickleball and more with the art of embroidery, offering a variety of handmade creations. The goal of this branding project was to develop a logo that seamlessly integrates these elements while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. I also worked with this company to design a few embroidered designs for their products!
For the final design, I chose a balanced composition featuring a tennis ball, spool of thread, and needle—symbolizing both the sport and the craft. The typography pairs a bold, structured font with a flowing script for "sews," emphasizing the handmade and creative nature of the brand. The logo is versatile, making it suitable for use across digital platforms, product packaging, and promotional materials.
During the design process, I explored various concepts, including a tennis ball intersected by a sewing needle, a spool of thread, and a typography-based approach blending structured lettering with a handwritten script.
The pickleball design features a modern, minimalistic paddle and ball, using bold outlines and strategic negative space to maintain clarity in stitching. The tennis rackets design incorporates intricate net detailing while maintaining a clean silhouette, making it visually striking yet practical for embroidery.
These designs were crafted to work across various textile applications, from apparel to accessories, accentuating the sporty creativity of Tennis Girl Sews’ product line.
